Our location is in the middle of the Google Map. Use the + and - buttons with a mouse click and you can zoom in or out to view the island and terrain around our 5 acre property at the corner of Windecker and Seawind. Zoom out and change to map view to find your way to the Bumbleberry Inn, Gabriola Island, and around the world for that matter. By Road / Ferry

Mainland B.C. Ferries sail from Tsawwassen to Duke Point and Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay, Nanaimo. There are 8 daily sailings to Departure Bay. Crossing time is 1 hour and 35 minutes to sail the 30 nautical miles. There are 8 daily sailings from Twawwassen (except Sat. and Sun.) taking 2 hours to cross the 38 nautical miles. Check the BC Ferries Corporation website for sailing times.
Ferries to Gabriola Island from Nanaimo sail 15 times a day each way. FIrst ferry sails at 5:45 a.m. from Gabriola and last ferry leaving Nanaimo at 10:55 p.m. Sailing time is approximately 20 minutes. Go to the Gabriola Ferry Web Cam to see the ferry schedule and the real time ferry lineup on Taylor Bay Road.

By Air

Tofino Air fly seaplanes three times a day directly to Gabriola Island from Vanouver International Airport, weather conditions permitting. The landing dock at Silva Bay is just four and a half kilometers from the Bumbleberry Inn. Call for information and reservations: 1-800-665-2359. West Coast Air and Harbour Air fly from downtown Vancouver to the downtown Nanaimo Harbour.
